Bina in Barceloneta Beach
The demolition of the former private baths of Barceloneta allowed the former promenade to be reformed and extended and one of the city’s old aspirations to be achieved: its complete opening up to the sea. The current promenade, renovated in 1990, links the emblematic fishing neighbourhood of Barceloneta to the Olympic Village. On sunny days this pleasant promenade becomes a meeting place for Barcelona’s citizens and visitors, where the Bina wastebaskets, designed by Gonzalo Milá and Martina Zink, have been installed at the beach area.
